Nothing impossible
Hold on to your dream

From an engineer to a fashion designer

My story began from here, I am Ruba Rajab, from Palestine, from the West Bank, from Ramallah. I holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering and a Master's degree in International Studies and Political Science.

Like any other person who always asked by others the same question; what you will be when you get young and grow up, my answer was always the same I want to be a fashion designer, at that time before 28 years my family circumstances were not available and appropriate to study this subject, in addition to that my father’s (may God have mercy on him) insistence that I hold a university degree in the field of engineering to be one of distinguished and previous women in obtaining an engineering degree in a field that is difficult for women to obtain (Electronic Engineer), but my dream continued until I grew up and exceeded forty and found myself without work. I did not wait long to get a suitable job and decided to venture and start realizing the dream of a lifetime, which is fashion design.

The first goal of implementing my project was to achieve the dream, love and passion, the second goal is to recycle clothes in order to preserve the environment, and the third main goal is to preserve the Palestinian cultural heritage and legacy

Where clothes have become one of the commodities that are used a few times and then thrown into used clothes containers, it is estimated that more than one million tons of clothes are sorted and often thrown into one of the used clothes containers. Added to this an unknown number of items of clothing that are simply disposed of with the trash in undesignated containers

Therefore, the basis of my project started from the idea of helping to preserve the environment, reduce the bags of clothes accumulated next to the containers, and reclaim what we can of these clothes and sell them at simple prices that suit people with limited income.

In addition to providing job opportunities for many women who need to work from their homes and help improve the source of income for their families

The most important thing is my intense love and passion for fashion, especially traditional clothing and embroidery. What helped me to embark on this project is unemployment for a long time, so I decided to start my own project and not wait for the right opportunity for employment.
